1. Before you pay
Do not use a payment link until Powered By More has confirmed the written scope, total price, delivery arrangements and any project specific terms. Review that information, these cancellation arrangements and our Terms of Service before paying.
2. Consumer right to cancel
If you are a consumer and enter into a service contract online or at a distance, you normally have 14 days from the day after the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. To exercise the right, send a clear statement by email or post before the cancellation period expires. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.
This statutory right is separate from your rights where a service is not supplied with reasonable care and skill or does not match the agreed information.
3. Starting work during the cancellation period
If you ask us to start work during the 14 day cancellation period and later cancel, you must pay a proportionate amount for services properly supplied up to the time you told us to cancel. We will not start early on this basis unless you make an express request.
If the service is fully performed within the cancellation period, the cancellation right is lost only where you expressly requested early performance and acknowledged that the right would be lost once the service had been fully performed.
Where relevant, we will ask you to confirm: “I expressly request Powered By More to begin the agreed service before the end of the 14 day cancellation period. I understand that I must pay for work supplied before cancellation and that I will lose the right to cancel once the service is fully performed.”
4. Digital content
If the contract is for digital content supplied other than on a tangible medium, the statutory cancellation right may be lost once supply begins, but only after you have expressly consented to immediate supply and acknowledged that the cancellation right will be lost. We will obtain that consent and acknowledgment separately where this rule applies.
5. Business clients
The statutory 14 day consumer cancellation right does not apply to a client acting wholly or mainly for business purposes. A business client may cancel only as provided in the written scope or our Terms of Service. Unless otherwise agreed, fees are payable for completed work, work reasonably performed up to cancellation and non-refundable third party commitments made for the project.
6. Refund timing and method
Where a consumer validly cancels, we will refund sums due without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of the cancellation. We will normally use the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method is expressly agreed. No refund fee will be charged.
We may deduct or require payment for the proportionate value of services supplied during the cancellation period following an express early start request. If we cancel before completing the work, we will refund the part of any advance payment that relates to work not supplied, subject to any lawful deduction or separate agreement.
7. Problems with the service
If you believe the service is defective, incomplete or does not match the agreed scope, contact us promptly with details. Where appropriate, we will first seek to correct or reperform the affected service within a reasonable time. Nothing in this policy limits statutory consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Model cancellation form
Complete and send this form only if you wish to cancel a consumer contract.
